About John Gera Design
John Gera Design is located in Bonney Lake, Washington and has worked with businesses of all sizes in the Puget Sound region and beyond. With over twenty-five years of experience, we can offer a full range of digital design services to help with your marketing needs.
As an independent design resource, we speed up the process by having greater flexibility to work with your schedule. This also allows us to keep costs down by removing the ‘middleman’ as we work closely together to create your marketing materials.

Over 25 years of experience in digital design. Whether it’s video production, 3D animation, print, or web design you can count on me to deliver what you’re looking for.
It’s easy to work hard when you love what you do. I will work any time of the day or night for you. Working on simultaneous projects never fazes me.
I am located south of Seattle but have clients as far away as New York. No matter the distance, I make it a point to work with your schedule and always meet or beat deadlines.
I listen to your needs and help guide the creative process. I use my years of experience to consult, inform, and design what I think works. But ultimately, I let you be the boss, this is your investment after all.
Multiple high-powered machines are on site to aid in network rendering, including the main workstation which has 64 CPU cores. SSD and RAID storage is backed up daily to keep your projects safe and secure.
For 3D I use the latest version of Autodesk 3DS Max and V-Ray. For just about everything else - the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. With active subscriptions and constant updates, I am always using today’s latest software.
The History of John Gera Design
John Gera has been a designer in the Puget Sound area for over twenty-five years. Starting his career in 1995 he worked on visual design projects ranging from children’s entertainment to corporate marketing and training.
Over time his use of 3D and video production increased, and with it, his desire to shift his career towards visual effects. By 2005, he was working primarily on visuals for TV commercials and independent films.
Five years later, with a heavy decline of visual effect work in the area, he had to rely on his roots in visual design. It was from this point forward that his career would be diversified, utilizing all his digital design capabilities for use in corporate marketing and branding campaigns.
For half of his career, he had been employed off and on by production companies. That all changed for good in late 2012, when he ventured out on his own to begin working independently. This gave him the freedom and flexibility to provide a full range of professional-quality design services at affordable pricing.
This visual effect reel was
produced in 2012 just as the transition to working independently had begun. It
contains 3D animation, video production and visual effects from a handful of
years leading up to 2012.
